When you enroll your child at O’Neal, you join a community where your child will be known, valued, and nurtured. Your child will be taught by a passionate team of educational professionals who strive to know each of their students as individuals. Supported by this personalized partnership, students develop academically and socially to meet their full potential. At O’Neal we cultivate character, critical thinking, physical well-being, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills which, joined by a rigorous academic program, form the base of our college preparatory institution.

9th Grade Merit Scholarships

List of 2 items.

  • The Hannah Marie Bradshaw Scholarship

The Hannah Marie Bradshaw Scholarship is given in memory of Hannah Marie Bradshaw, whose enthusiasm, curiosity, and spirit of friendship enhanced the character of her O’Neal class. She loved The O’Neal School as a positive place that helped her reach her true potential. The Hannah Marie Bradshaw Scholarship is a $6,000 scholarship given to a rising ninth grader who is not currently an O’Neal student and whose family demonstrates financial need. The scholarship is renewable each year through grade twelve as long as the student’s cumulative grade point average remains at 3.5 (B+) or greater.
  • How to Apply?

Applications for these two scholarships are highly competitive. Once fully enrolled, applicants must complete and submit a scholarship packet by the beginning of April. Packets are then reviewed and narrowed down to finalists who are invited to campus for an interview conducted by the Scholarship Committee. After interviews are completed, the Scholarship Committee will select one applicant for each scholarship.

Financial Aid

Our financial aid program is robust, accessible and benefits a large variety of families.  Our trustees and administrators prioritize socioeconomic diversity at O’Neal by allocating over $1 million in operational funds per year to need-based financial aid.  More than 30% of students currently attending O’Neal receive financial aid. While O’Neal cannot meet the full need of every student, financial aid can help offset full tuition costs. Each family must contribute a minimum of 25% of tuition per board policy.

  • More on Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for Grades K through 12 to O’Neal students who are currently enrolled and to new students to whom enrollment has been offered. The financial aid process is separate from the Admissions process, but we recommend prospective families submit both the admissions application(s) and the financial aid application simultaneously. While admissions applications are submitted per student, financial aid applications are submitted per family.

All inquiries and applications for financial aid and knowledge thereof are to be held in the strictest confidence.

Blackbaud Financial Aid Management is being used. Use School Code: 15345
