The O'Neal School is a college preparatory school dedicated to the development of the academic excellence, strength of character and physical well-being of its students in an environment where integrity, self-discipline, and consideration for others are fundamental.

The faculty expects students to stretch their abilities and strive to fulfill their potential. We want our students to be active learners. To help them meet those responsibilities, we seek to know and understand our students as individuals and provide them with the kind of challenges, encouragement, and support they need to grow intellectually and personally.

We expect students to understand and observe not only the school's basic rules and regulations but also standards of conduct appropriate to the given situation in a setting where civility and mutual respect are the rule and not the exception.
