Rollins College has a new test scored waived option – this should not be used if you are interested in merit scholarship consideration.

Last year Northeastern University had a 12% increase in applications, resulting in 30,000 applications for 2800 available spots in the class.

Last year Pomona College had a 9% increase in applications, resulting in nearly 6,000 applications while their target was a class of 380 students.

August 27th , 7:00 – 9:30 – Colleges That Change Lives – Informational Session and College Fair will be at the Embassy Suites Raleigh Durham / Research Triangle East (201 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Cary, NC 27513)
This group of forty schools that will be in attendance “outdo the Ivies and research universities in producing winners. And they work their magic on the B and C students a well as on the A students.” For more information go to www.ctcl.com
August 29th – Senior Parent Night – This will be a night where Mr. Byrd reviews what the seniors did on the college counseling retreat as well as what to expect during this years’ college admissions process.
September 5th – Freshman Parent Night – This will be an evening where Mr. Byrd will give you insight on the O’Neal School and its college counseling program.
September 10th – Registration Deadline for the October 6th SAT (given at O’Neal). To register go to www.collegeboard.com or get a registration booklet from Mr. Byrd.
