Key Club

Congrats on a fantastic year Key Club!!

Convention:

O'Neal Key Club was especially competitve in this year's Carolinas Key Club District Convention.  Our Club received every award it applied for including, Outstanding Club Achievement, Second Place for the District Project Award, and recognition for our fundraising for UNICEF! Also,our faculty advisor, Ms. Cindi Carr, recieved the Carolinas District Honorary Membership Award!  It was a very exciting convention for all who went!!!!

 

The outstanding club award is given to clubs who complete the annual achievement forms.  These forms demonstrate the percent increase of a club, the amount of hours completed by each member of the club, the amount of projects planned and completed, the club's relationship with its Kiwanis parent club, and other club information.  O'Neal completed this form and earned enough points to win the award!!

 

The District Project Award is a project which was completed by the President, Ellen Cowherd, and Vice President, Danielle Bradshaw, demonstrating the projects completed supporting the Boys and Girls Homes of Lake Waccamaw.  Out of the many high schools which applied for this award, only three received recognition.  O'Neal won second place!!

 

The UNICEF recognition was given to any club which raised over $250 for UNICEF. O'Neal raised $500 for this charity and won the award!

 

Lastly, Mrs. Carr won the Carolinas District Honorary Membership, which is the highest award given to any member.  Mrs. Carr has been such an inspirational faculty advisor for over ten years, and she much deserved this distinguished award.
