“Why should I make an Annual Fund gift to O’Neal?”
The Annual Fund plays an essential role in O’Neal’s continued success. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating students at most independent schools. A gift to the Annual Fund – of any amount – directly and immediately benefits each student and faculty member.
“Will my gift really matter?”
When an independent school like O’Neal applies for grants from individuals and foundations, it is imperative that there is evidence of a high number of constituents participating in all campaigns. Please remember that a gift of any size raises our participation level and opens the door for many grant opportunities.
“How do I make my gift?”
We ask that each family make a thoughtful Annual Fund commitment, based on that which is best for their individual budget. Each year parent volunteers contact all O’Neal family and friends to request support for the Annual Fund. Annual Fund parent chairs mail a request each September outlining payment options and citing their reasons for supporting this important fundraising effort. Our volunteers are engaged and enthusiastic about their work and we are extremely grateful for their commitment and support.
Commitments are payable by June 30 which is the end of the school’s fiscal year. Many constituents contribute prior to December 31 to take advantage of end-of-year giving for tax purposes.
All donors and gifts to the Annual Fund are recognized in the O’Neal Annual Report.
