Endowment and Planned Giving
An endowment fund is needed at an institution to support operations an
d provide security for the future. The Legacy of Leadership Society at The O’Neal School was created to provide an opportunity for the growth of endowment funds. The National Association of Independent Schools reports that an endowment for a school of O’Neal’s size and age should approximate $9 million. Unrestricted endowment funds are currently $1,100,000 at O’Neal. Your contribution to the endowment ensures that your children and your children’s children will have a unique opportunity to benefit from an O’Neal education.
Gifting may be in the form of cash or stock or by including the school in your will, trust or estate plans (planned gifting) or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. While all gifts are appreciated, a cash, stock or planned gift of $10,000 or more qualifies you as a member in the Legacy of Leadership Society. Legacy members are recognized for their generous contribution by having their names engraved on a plaque displayed in the atrium of Bradshaw Hall.
There are many ways to assist in building the O'Neal endowment. Gifts can be made today, or planned gifting can include O'Neal as a future beneficiary.
Membership is tiered based upon the level of contribution:
Silver - starting at $10,000
Gold - starting at $100,000
Platinum - starting at $250,000
Diamond - for $500,000 or more.
The legacy of O'Neal will be our students' positive contribution to their communities and to our world.
The legacy begins with you.
