Once a contracted service, The O’Neal School has taken the business of transportation in-house. Six buses have been purchased, a director of transportation services and bus drivers have been hired. More focus has been put into the transportation services as The O’Neal School is gearing up for future growth in enrollment and fulfilling the needs of the students.
Four of the six buses are dedicated to transportation to and from school. These buses seat 48 children or 30 adults. The two other buses have a larger capacity and will be used for field trips and sporting events.
For school pick up and drop off, buses travel to 4 different zones within the O’Neal service area.
Bus stops are consolidated to common areas such as shopping centers.
Within reason, the routes can be changed in order to accommodate students and allow them to benefit from the transportation services offered.
All drivers, including coaches, have completed the training needed for certification and endorsements to transport students.
A transportation services contract is available by contacting the director of transportation. The cost of using O’Neal’s transportation services to and from school is not a part of the tuition.
