JR Beta Inductions

The Middle School held a Junior Beta Induction Ceremony on Friday in the Theater.  Our speaker was Mrs. Blanche Hancock, O’Neal Alum and Director of College Counseling at The O’Neal School.  Inducted into Jr. Beta were seventh graders Ally Baldelli, Alex Dymond, Andrew Phan, Stefan Woolley and eighth graders Claire Conti and Cayleigh Ana Kruse.

During the ceremony, candles were lit representing the four virtues of the Jr. Beta Club which are: Service, Leadership, Scholarship and Honor. Inductees and transferring members recited the Jr. Beta pledge.
 
To be eligible for membership, a student must have an average academic grade of A- with no grade below B+ for English, math, science, history and foreign language and receive an approving vote of 75% of faculty members who consider themselves qualified to vote.  This vote will be based on the student’s worthy character, credible achievement, and commendable attitude.
