The O'Neal Players are performing a homicial comedy/mystery to the stage with this year's production of Par for the Corpse by Jack Sharkey.  The play is directed by Drama teacher Michael Norman.

While novelist Alexandra Ellis hosts a party at her Catskills retreat, a blizzard comes through the area, stranding everyone in the building.  No one expects a murderer to be amongst them until someone is poisoned.  The guests begin to frantically search for the culprit and how the murder came to be.  Someone comes up with an idea of who the killer is, but is killed before they are able to reveal their thoughts.  This goes on and on, each time someone has a hint, they are taken down by the secret killer.  Everyone is a suspect and no one can be trusted.  The play causes some laugh-out-loud moments but it is essentially meant to induce shock and surprise for the audience.  Even after several shocking moments in the final act, no one in the audience will be able to guess what will happen in the end!

Alexandra Ellis will be performed by senior Danielle Cormier and  Gert Hartman will by played by freshman Devon Rosenburger.  Mark Taggert will be played by both seniors Drew Meese and John Roger Moore.  The married couple, Hazel and Rick Corlian, will be played by sophomore Madison Greer and junior Austin Gibbons.  Hazel's mother, Thelma Alban will be performed by freshman Natalie Placa.  The character Daniella Jessup will be played by senior Mary Winston Dozier.  Freshman Kate Liner will play Bettina Redmond.  Jed Stebbins will be played by junior Bradley Miller and Lionel Channing will be played by junior Teague Vreeland.

The performances will be held on April 25th at 7:00 p.m., April 26th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and on April 27th at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are free for O'Neal students and $5 at the door for others.
