The O’Neal School is pleased to announce Win and Elizabeth Dozier as honorary chairs for its 44th Annual Auction, scheduled for Friday, February 20th at the Pinehurst Country Club.

As O’Neal parents, the Doziers have given of themselves and their resources in support of the School for many years. Elizabeth has been valuable in assisting with the pottery segment of the Auction. She has also served as a senior parent liaison as well as a volunteer in the Middle School. Owner of Quick Check Convenience Stores for 20 years, Win is now retired and serves on the O’Neal Board of Trustees and has helped with the Middle School baseball program. The Dozier family has been a generous donor to the School by way of the O’Neal Fund and endowment giving in support of tuition assistance for Upper and Middle School students. They are also a part of the Landmark Society, a group of donors who have relieved O’Neal of incurred debt. Win also serves on the Central NC Council of Boys Scouts of America, the Board of Directors for The First Tee – Sandhills Chapter, and is a former board member of First Bank. The Dozier family is very active with the youth program and leadership at Trinity Methodist Church in Troy.

“For our family, the O’Neal experience has been about more than just getting a quality education for our children,” states the Doziers. “Seeing the commitment of our teachers, staff, administrators, and community patrons to O’Neal's mission has inspired us to contribute in ways we never anticipated. We find this to be so with many of the parents we have come to know here. The talent and life experience of the parents here are so incredible and kudos to those who inspire them to share those assets to the School's benefit. We are proud to work side by side with all of the people who have committed their time and finances to making The O’Neal School the special place that it is.”

The Doziers live in Troy and have three children. Their youngest son, Chandler is in the seventh grade at O’Neal. Their daughter, Mary Winston is a Holmberg Scholar and 2014 O’Neal graduate who is currently a freshman at Wake Forest University. Their oldest son, Coleman is attending school in Asheville.

The Annual Auction is O’Neal’s largest fundraising event that supports the annual operating budget of the School. Attendees purchase tickets to enjoy a dinner and live music while participating in silent and live auction components as well as raffles. Greg Quiroga, co-owner of San-Francisco-based Stellar Fundraising Auctions, will again be the event’s auctioneer. The community is invited to attend the Auction.
