Leadership Academy Welcomes Zachary Buck From NCSU

O’Neal Leadership Academy hosted Zachary Buck from the NCSU Shelton Leadership Center on Wednesday. A program specialist for outreach programs, Mr. Buck discussed the broad topic of leadership and the many translations of how leadership is defined. He spoke on Values-Based Leadership by providing the students with personal stories as well as peer-reviewed and researched findings in the world of leadership, both individual and team. He touched on the leadership roles of the leadership academy students and how they interact with leadership as a whole. There were activities asking the students to think critically about their own processes and biases as they stand currently, as well as identifying the pros/cons of when a team or an individual is better suited to make a leadership choice/decision.
