Thirteen students and a faculty member from Colegio FEM in Madrid are living and learning with the O’Neal Community. The group of students are split between the Upper School and the Middle School. The Colegio FEM is a private bilingual PreK-Bachillerato school that was founded in 1957 by four professional educators. It has remained a family business and is run by the director, Jorge Vila and his brother Juan Vila, who is visiting at O’Neal.
“I hope that this inaugural exchange marks the beginning of a long-standing collaboration between The O’Neal School and Colegio FEM,” states World Language Department Chair Heather Weeks. “We have truly enjoyed having FEM students participate in our academic courses and on our athletic teams.”
