AP Psychology Sensation Labs

Lisa Elmore’s AP Psychology Class held their sensation labs this week as part of their study of sensation and perception. At each station, students were to conduct an activity demonstrating how the senses work and how one interprets information coming from the senses. Students were asked to create some of the tools for the stations. They rotated through each area and recorded their findings. Students experienced tasting Starburst candy without seeing or smelling to determine its color. Swatches in Ziploc bags were smelled to determine the scent. Hands were put into boxes to feel objects to identify. Vision altering goggles were worn while trying to throw wadded paper into a trash can.
