She teaches 10th and 11th grade English, as well as AP Language and Composition. Outside of reading, writing, and teaching, Mrs. Asmussen enjoys a plethora of activities, including training for CrossFit, triathlons, and three-day eventing with her horse.

Mrs. Asmussen is eager to share her love of creative storytelling with students! She believes that we mediate our world through stories and knows that each student has a unique voice to contribute to our collective narrative. Through the drafting, revision, and peer-review process, students can craft their most compelling voices.
