College Counseling

O’Neal’s college counseling program is based on an individualized approach, beginning with course selection for rising ninth grade students and culminating in a list of good match colleges and universities for application in the senior year. Renee Ferrerio, director of college counseling, and the upper school faculty work very closely with students and families throughout the four years to deliver a comprehensive college counseling program. Each student is guided individually to pursue acceptance to colleges and universities which are well aligned with their interests, both academic and non-academic.

Ms. Ferrerio assists students with the college search and application process and acts as a link to college admissions offices on behalf of each student and family. She facilitates college representative visits to campus as well as junior and senior college seminar meetings.
