Those seventh and eighth graders interested in varsity sports may tryout for Cross Country, Tennis, Swimming and Track and Field.

Eighth grade students are encouraged to make up the JV volleyball team along with some ninth and maybe some tenth grade students. O’Neal desires to field a JV girls’ basketball team and may ask some eighth grade students to help out for that team also. Eighth graders who do not make the JV will be allowed to tryout for MS sports when school starts.

Eighth grade students who wish to tryout for our Varsity Soccer, Basketball and Baseball must be starters or major contributing players to participate and will be discussed on an individual basis.

NCISAA By-Laws only permit full time students in grades 7-12 to compete in State Competitions.
