The O'Neal School located near Pinehurst is a Moore County Schools NC leader in education.
Academics. Achievement. Character.
The O’Neal Booster Club was formed by and is comprised of many enthusiastic parents dedicated to supporting and promoting O’Neal School Athletics while working in conjunction with the O’Neal Athletic Department. The organization strives to cultivate a sense of school spirit and a positive image of athletics, not only for the athletes but for the entire student body. All O’Neal families are invited to participate by joining Booster Club.
Through fund-raising efforts, membership dues, concessions, and gate fees, Booster Club has been able to make many contributions to The O’Neal School over the years. These include scorer's tables and team chairs, protective floor covers, sound systems, bleachers for the baseball field, funds for up-grading the soccer field irrigation system, an AED, banners, uniforms and athletic equipment. Booster Club co-hosts O’Neal Falcon teams and their families at seasonal Sports Awards Nights where, in addition to athletic department awards and recognitions to all team members, gifts are presented in recognition to the senior athletes. The Booster Club also hosts a Coaches’ Dinner in the spring of each year in appreciation to O’Neal’s coaching staff.
Homecoming is made special with fun-filled half-time events and includes O’Neal cheerleaders tossing Booster Club funded “spirit items” into the bleachers to O’Neal’s all-important supportive spectators. Funds are raised that night with a pre-game dinner and concessions. Gate fees and membership dues also help the Booster Club give back to O’Neal.
Booster Club coordinates with the Athletic Department and a local physician to provide an opportunity for students to receive their sports physicals on campus. These physicals meet the requirements to participate in O’Neal sports and the fees for these physicals are donated to the Booster Club. Boosters partners with the Parents’ Association in the sale of spirit wear called "Falcon Gear". From t-shirts to hoodies, there is something for everyone to display their school spirit!
Becoming a Booster Club member is not just for families of athletes. Fresh, new ideas are always in need, as well as help in continuing the efforts already in place. Please log in to see more detailed information regarding what Booster Club does, how one can help as a volunteer, when and where meetings happen, the benefits of membership, and additional information about O’Neal Sports and Athletics.
