O'Neal Math Club Hosts Pi Day Celebration

O’Neal’s Upper School Math Club organized and hosted an all school Pi Day on “Pi Day” – March 14th. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade participated in the math extravaganza. Students across divisions worked together to solve a multitude of math problems.
  • 7th and 11th graders bungee jumping Barbie 
  • 6th and 11th graders cracking math codes and working through a fraction-filled maze
  • 5th and 10th graders building houses to absorb as much (or as little) heat as possible
  • 4th and 9th graders building playgrounds (...and eating marshmallows)
  • 3rd and 8th graders building structurally-sound bridges
  • K, 1, 2, and 12th graders blowing bubbles, making tangrams, solving a number line puzzle, glider paper airplanes, playing "Go Fish" and dominoes.
  • And lastly, our fearless Geometry students racing their cardboard boats!
