AP Math Extravaganza

In April, the first annual AP math extravaganza was held as an event for students in AP Calculus AB, BC and Statistics to begin their preparation for the AP Exams in May. It was a success! Despite some skepticism about spending 24 hours doing math-related activities, everyone had a great time.  The students spent Friday evening working on review activities and playing games.  They took a mock exam Saturday morning and did extremely well.

The preparation all culminated for calculus students on Tuesday, May 15th – AP test time! The class all wore their “Tony the Tiger” shirts for the test and kicked the day off by eating Frosted Flakes together before the testing started.

“We are proud of our students’ hard work this year!” – says AP math instructors Megan King, Jen Isaacs and Melissa Vaswani.
