6th and 8th Grade Students Have Action-Packed Science Classes

8th Grade
Mr. Grayson's 8th grade science classes are exploring the world of physics. Three important concepts are being studied: motion, forces and energy. Students are collecting data on various forms of motion. Some examples are rolling a ball down a ramp, dropping a feather or calculating speed of cars on Airport Road. In the coming weeks they will learn of Newton's Three Laws of Motion as they collect and analyze more and more data!

6th Grade
Mr. Grayson's 6th grade science classes are studying the world of rockets and the space program. Students are learning basic concepts of how a rocket works as it relates to mass. Students built and launched their rockets and collected valuable data to analyze in the classroom. Students will average all data, properly graph it and derive a conclusion based on said data. Real hands-on science at it's best! Click HERE to see video.
