English Language Fellow in Serbia Speaks to Students

Beth Wendt, O’Neal grandparent and US Department of State English Language Fellow in Serbia talked to Upper School and 7th and 8th grade students on her experience living in Serbia. She touched on her job as a Fellow and her role with cultural diplomacy. She educated the students on the country itself and its culture. She also talked about the ACCESS program, which is a group of underprivileged teens she works with to further develop their future opportunities. She hopes to develop a communication exchange program between students at O’Neal and select students in the ACCESS program. Serbia is the third country Ms. Wendt has served as an English Language Fellow. She has also served in Korea and China.
