O'Neal MS Soccer succeeds in first major challenge

David Williamson
O'Neal faced its toughest test of the season so far, coming away with a 3-0 victory against Village Christian.  Battling against a fast and strong Village team, the game stayed tied at 0-0 throughout the first half.  Strong defensive efforts from Max Pashley, Alex Martin, and Harry Franklin helped to turn away Village's quick forwards.  Henry Neville broke the tie in the second half, followed by Davis Lincicome and David White each adding another goal to secure the victory.  Julien Mazzarulli and Taylor Graves played a tough game in the middle of the field and were instrumental in creating O'Neal's scoring opportunities.  Spencer Lincicome played well in goal to secure O'Neal's first shutout of the season.
