Varsity Cross Country Finishes on a Positive Note

James Franklin, Athletic Director
The varsity cross country teams competed in the NCISAA 2A State Championship as they finished their season on a high note. It was a beautiful fall day with crisp air and a fast course. The boys team finished 19th out of 22 teams. The very impressive thing about their performance was that every boy ran a personal best! Nathan Brianas led the way with his 19:01 and 22nd place finish. On the girls side, the team finished three spots ahead of their seed with a 12th place finish out of 20 teams. Molly Kuzma ran a season best, 19:26, for 2nd place. All girls ran season best times, and 5 of the 7 ran personal bests. It was the perfect race to cap off the season!
