O'Neal Holds Commencement

The O’Neal School held its commencement on Friday, May 22nd in Owens Auditorium at Sandhills Community College. The commencement was preceded by a Baccalaureate Service at Brownson Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 21st.  Class Valedictorian, Greyson Keel, daughter of Mr. and Dr. Koley Keel, and O’Neal alumnus, Jamaal Barnes ‘05 addressed the graduates. Mr. Barnes is presently the assistant director of admissions at Harvard University.
 
The class of 2015, consisting of 40 students, amassed a dollar amount of $2.15M in merit-based scholarships. Sixty percent of the class will be attending colleges and universities out of state, such as Southern Methodist University, Syracuse University, University of Wisconsin, and Indiana University. One graduate, Jarred Jenkinson, will be attending the Coast Guard Academy beginning this June.
