Camp Description: This camp is a FUN opportunity to both brush up on skills and develop new skills through hands-on applications of mathematics. Teachers will organize activities and games that promote a better understanding of symbol manipulation, inequalities, the Cartesian coordinate system, pattern recognition, and more! Algebra Boot Camp is appropriate for students entering grades 7 through 10 who need to review or practice algebra strategies to support success in high school algebra.

Instructor: Megan King and Jennifer Isaacs
Instructor Bio: Mrs. King serves as Director of Study and Math Teacher at O'Neal. Before joining the O'Neal School in 2016, Mrs. King taught all levels of high school and middle school mathematics in California and New Jersey. She has also served as an activities director and advised a peer to peer tutoring program.
Instructor Bio: Mrs. Isaacs teaches Upper School math and serves as mathematics department chair. She joined the O'Neal faculty in 2016 and enjoys interdisciplinary approaches to learning by emphasizing real-world applications in her classes. After graduating from Brown in 2005, Mrs. Isaacs began her professional career working in finance in New York and Washington. She returned to school to pursue her passion for teaching and graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2011.
