Beyond the Classroom
Alumni

Alumni Day

From the Class of 1977 to the Class of 2021, O’Neal cordially invites its graduates to Alumni Day on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

O’Neal is celebrating 50 years of developing academic excellence, strength of character and physical well-being for its students. Its success is largely attributed to those who travelled their educational journey within our classrooms, and represented O’Neal on sporting fields, courts, courses and pools, theater stages, class trip destinations and all those activities and venues inbetween.

We want to celebrate You! We want to share our beautiful campus with you and those you call your family.
Activities on Campus

Visit O'Neal on Alumni Day to reunite with old friends and faculty members.

We will be offering tours of the campus and Mr. Ricky will be cooking a delicious bbq for our picnic dinner to take place in the early evening in conjunction with the golf tournament awards presentation.

Alumni are welcome to reunite as a class during the day at one of O’Neal’s campus venues, like The Landmark Garden, Mary Elaine O’Neal Courtyard, Lambie’s Meadow, Miles Atrium and more.

Falcons are 50 Commemorative Golf Tournament
Nestled in the heart of golf country, O'Neal is not a stranger to the sport. The celebrity golf tournaments held in the late 1970's served as fundraisers for the School. Our golf teams have earned a multitude of state championships. We've graduated many student-athletes to college golf programs and have successfully launched the Traditions Golf Academy - an elite junior golf program.

Some would say "It's ABOUT TIME", but as we celebrate a tremendous 50 years, we say "It's the RIGHT TIME"... to host a golf tournament.

The tournament will be held at Southern Pines Golf Club. Many of you may know it as "the old Elks Club". The Bell family, a founding O'Neal family, now has part ownership of this course under the management of Blair Miller '04.

Founding Headmaster Bob Haarlow and present Head of School John Elmore will be greeting team members at sign-in.

The tournament will field 18 teams with tee times between 10 AM and 1 PM. The format will be 4-person scramble / Captain’s choice.  Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
