Hello Prospective Families!

The O’Neal Campus is a beautiful place to be. Admissions is very happy to be back in the office. We are so excited to show off our campus and facilities to new visitors as well as to talk more about your interest in O’Neal.
As families and communities across our nation continue to cope with the magnitude of COVID-19, our school community has been grateful to have the strength and opportunity required to continue teaching, learning, working and growing. It is the distinct privilege of the Admissions Team to convey the ways in which our school has responded to an evolving landscape of learning.
We believe showing is more powerful than telling. That’s why the best first step for any prospective family is a personalized campus tour and the most important part of the Admissions Process is the Student Visit Day. However, we fully understand your needs in this unsettled time and will gladly accommodate you virtually to learn more about our School’s offerings.
We are a customer service-driven office and a clearinghouse for all things O’Neal. We exist to help you navigate those important, individualized conversations that will shape your family’s educational future. The O’Neal School exists to make an impact in the life of every student, every day. Your Admissions experience should be a direct reflection of that philosophy from start to finish. We truly appreciate your interest and we look forward to working with you. That will never, ever change. Email and let’s get started.

“We really lucked out finding this gem of a school!... Being a military family, my children have attended so many schools already in their short lives, this is my eldest 7th school… All three of my children have unique learning styles, and the teachers there not only got to know my kids better than any other school has ever done, right off the bat, but they have a way of making learning fun!... I love that it's a very welcoming and inclusive community… We never thought we'd settle in North Carolina, but The O'Neal School has made it completely change our minds. I can't imagine a better school for my children.” – Megan M. -- O'Neal Parent

    #3 The Community

The O'Neal School Community is truly one of the best parts of The O'Neal School experience. O'Neal encourages close personal relationships among parents, faculty, students and staff. These relationships create an atmosphere of trust and support in which students see independence, initiative and imagination as the means to pursue self-discovery, develop qualities of leadership, and affirm a sense of self worth. Students give freely of their time and talents, mindful of how these contributions enhance the quality of school life for the entire community and the lives of those in the Sandhills.

An honor system is in place for students and faculty in the Middle School and the Upper School. Both divisions are asked to sign the honor code each year. As a result, there are no locks on lockers and every student is trusted to do their own work. The Upper School has an elected student honor council.
