O'Neal Scholarships for New Students

At The O’Neal School, we believe that exceptional students help shape an exceptional community. Our merit‑based and need‑based scholarships recognize young people who demonstrate academic strength, personal character, leadership, creativity, and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to school life.

We are proud to offer several competitive scholarship opportunities for new Upper School students entering grades 9, 10, or 11.

The Falcon Award

$10,000 • Renewable • For Children of FirstHealth Employees
Two scholarships awarded annually to FirstHealth employees’ children entering grades 9–11. Recipients demonstrate strong academics and personal character. Selection is made by a committee of school administrators and faculty.

Pursuit of Excellence Award

$5,000 • Renewable • For External Candidates Entering Grades 9–11
Two scholarships recognizing students with notable strength or passion in academics, arts, athletics, or other areas of school life. Recipients show engagement, growth, and commitment to the O’Neal community. Selected by a committee of school leaders.

The Hannah Marie Bradshaw Scholarship

$6,000 • Renewable • For Rising 9th Graders With Financial Need
Awarded in memory of Hannah Marie Bradshaw to a rising 9th grader not currently enrolled at O’Neal. The student must demonstrate financial need and maintain a 3.5 GPA to renew the scholarship through grade 12.
