Benefit Auction

Thank you to all who joined us on Saturday, February 11th, whether in person or via Mobile Bidding for our Annual Benefit Auction. The evening was filled the fantastic music, delicious food, fabulous Silent and Live Auctions and a record-breaking Fund A Need - all to benefit the students and faculty of The O'Neal School.

Welcome to The O’Neal School Benefit Auction! First starting out as a "Monte Carlo" night and later moving to an "Auction," today we call it the Annual Benefit Auction. It is the single largest annual fundraising event for The O’Neal School. For the first few years of the School’s opening, the Benefit was extremely important as it was relied upon to cover payroll and other expenses for the remainder of the school year. Today, the funds raised from the Benefit are a part of the annual operating budget for the School.

For a half-century, this event has been one of the spotlight affairs for the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area. From trips to Europe and concert tickets to puppies and local hand-crafted pottery, many creative activities and items have been on the auction block. Local businesses continue to support the School by donating items and packages for its silent auction segments. Drawings for $10,000, jewelry, a Cadillac, and a Maserati have been included in the past.

We invite our O’Neal parents, alumni, and friends to enjoy a great evening at a historical event that benefits quality education and enrichment for students of The O’Neal School.

This year's event, That 70's Gala, was held on February 11th, 2023 and featured cocktails, a seated dinner, 50/50 raffle, Live and Silent Auctions and more! Stay tuned for more information about our 2024 Benefit Auction!
