Frequently Asked Questions

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Are field trips included in the overall cost of tuition?

Field trips that occur during the regular school day are typically included in part in the tuition cost and also supported by contributions to the School's Annual Fund. However, the annual class trips (most are overnight, multiple-day trips) offered to students in grades 5 through 8 are billed separately. On occasion, there may be unique exceptions that require an additional fee for a particular activity that may happen during a school-day field trip.
  • Are "pay-to-participate" fees required for athletics and the arts?

No, there are no additional fees required to participate in athletics or the arts.

The cost of athletics and arts programming is supported through a combination of tuition, contributions to the School’s Annual Fund, and memberships in the Falcon Club (Athletics Booster Club) and the Arts Guild.
  • Is aftercare included in the tuition cost?

Kids Club is the aftercare service offered to lower school students in McMurray Hall. It is a structured program serving students until 6 pm daily. Registration is required, and families are billed separately.

Middle school students may receive supervised care in Bradshaw Hall until 6 pm at no additional charge.
  • Is camp included in the tuition cost?

O'Neal is pleased to offer enriching summer programs, including summer camps and swimming lessons. These opportunities are open to all eligible participants, regardless of enrollment at The O'Neal School. Please note that registration and associated fees for these programs are handled separately.
