The O'Neal School has activity buses managed by a director of transportation services and his bus drivers. They are used for athletics, field trips and school pick-up and drop off.

For school pick up and drop off, buses travel to 2 different zones within the O’Neal service area.

Important information for daily (non-contracted) riders. Daily rates per student - $10 one way; $15 round trip.

    • 7:05 am Lowes Foods, 830 Spring Lane, Sanford (Stop is behind the gas station in the Mall parking lot)
    • 7:20 am Sky Mart, 1545 NC 24/27, Cameron
    • 7:45 am approximate arrival at O'Neal
    PM Route (Leave O'Neal at 3:15 pm)
    • 3:45 pm approximate return time to Sky Mart, 1545 NC 24/27, Cameron
    • 4:05 pm approximate return time to Lowes Foods, 830 Spring Lane, Sanford (Stop is again behind the Lowe’s Food gas station in a Mall parking lot)
  • Rockingham Route

    AM Route
    • 6:55 am Food Lion, 2100 Fayetteville Street
    • 7:40 am approximate arrival at O'Neal
    PM Route (Leave O'Neal at 3:15 pm)
    • 4:10 pm approximate return time to Rockingham Food Lion, 2100 Fayetteville Street
Bus stops are consolidated to common areas such as shopping centers.
 
Within reason, the routes can be changed in order to accommodate students and allow them to benefit from the transportation services offered.
 
All drivers, including coaches, have completed the training needed for certification and endorsements to transport students.
 
The cost of using O’Neal’s transportation services to and from school is not a part of the tuition.
