O'Neal Aquatics Swim Club
O'Neal Aquatics is a year-round, USA Swimming-certified swim club based at the Aquatics Center in Taws Hall on The O’Neal School campus. Open to the community, membership is not limited to O’Neal students.

Led by Aquatics Director and Head Coach Jen Schmitz, the club provides professional coaching and training for swimmers of varying skill levels. Dryland training is also included and conducted by our in-house sports performance coach.

We offer six roster groups based on skill level: Mako, Swordfish, Great White, Great White 2, Senior, and Senior Elite.
  • Our Mako swimmers are just starting out and only need to demonstrate comfort swimming freestyle and backstroke—they will continue learning all four strokes as they progress.
  • For more advanced groups, swimmers must already know the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).
  • Evaluations are required for team placement.
Annual registration takes place in August.

I’ve been so pleased with O’Neal’s swim lesson program. The instructors are amazing. They’re patient, encouraging, and make swimming fun.  Plus, the small class size allows them to provide individualized attention to each child. My son’s confidence grows with each lesson!
