Talbert '13 named to Big South All-Academic Team

Jacob Talbert ’13, a junior at Campbell University and member of the Fighting Camels Men’s Basketball Team, has been named to the all-academic team for the Big South Conference.

This recognition follows Jacob earning the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll status for two consecutive years.
As a senior at O’Neal, Jacob Talbert became the School’s leading career scorer after beating then conference opponent, Fayetteville Christian, in January 2013 with a total of 1,209 points. He scored 27 points and 10 rebounds that game.
Before he finished his high school career, Jacob was a four-time all-conference player setting the school career scoring record at 1386 points. The Falcons won the CFIC conference championship in 2013 and Jacob was named conference tournament MVP.

Jacob is the son of David and Kim Talbert of Southern Pines.
