O'Neal Celebrates 47 Years

September 7, 1971 O'Neal opened its doors to 35 students in grades 4-6. The School has come a long way in its 47 years and Founders Day is always a good reason to celebrate. Today ended with a short assembly to recognize Founders Day. Head of School John Elmore spoke of O'Neal's significance in successfully educating students for 47 years. A slideshow of O'Neal's Top 10 - Then and Now was shown. Director of Student Life Lulu Brase then announced that the whole school will be divided into Red and Blue teams for community challenges throughout the year. Advisors and teachers each got a turn to select a cup that had red or blue pom poms which indicated the color team of their classroom/advisory group. It was an energy-filled exciting time for everyone!
