Welcome to the Star Books Cafe!

Sixth grade students have fun learning poetry.
Over the past two weeks, 6th grade English students have been working diligently to learn about writing poems to express creativity. Students have been studying different types of poetry including spoken word, limerick, diamante, and free verse poems.

As a culmination of the poetry unit, students were able to share the poems that they had drafted, revised, and edited with their peers. The classroom was transformed into the "Starbooks Cafe' " and students sipped on beverages and enjoyed some treats to celebrate their creativity.
