Fifth Grade Showcases Faces of History

As the culminating project in their Intro to Middle School course, 5th grade students brought history to life! After learning about the research process, effective planning, and exploring multimedia platforms, students selected a historical figure to study.
Students were first tasked with researching a historical figure using a variety of resources, including both digital sources and traditional books. Following their research, they were required to design and plan a lesson to teach their peers about their figure, incorporating a multimedia element such as PowerPoint or Canva. The final component of the project involved creating a poster board with information and designing a costume to be showcased at the ‘Faces of History’ fair, which took place on May 7th in the McMurray Library. This project allowed students to demonstrate their understanding while utilizing their newfound skills!
