Middle School Drama Classes Perform "Ever After High"

Co-written by eighth grade student Calli McIntyre and Middle School drama instructor Kia Korsunskaya, “Ever After High” is based on what movie characters may have been like before they grew up and became the famous characters – loved and despised.

The setting takes place in a special high school where the characters receive training and are assigned movies. All five of the eighth grade students were responsible for researching the idea, and hosting auditions for the sixth and seventh grade drama classes, in addition to having individual responsibilities for the Middle School theater production. Zach Furie was in charge of lighting concepts and sound effects. Reese Dickerhoff was in charge of the set and staging, Jake Slusher handled props, and Andrew Phan and Calli McIntyre were in charge of costuming. The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade drama classes each rehearsed during their own class times, sometimes using videos of their co-stars. The entire cast of the production only met twice before their first performance!
