Second Grade and Kindergarten Conduct Egg Drop Project

Mrs. Duffy’s second grade class & Mrs. Herpy’s kindergarten class collaborated and created devices for an egg drop project. The devices were designed to keep their egg from cracking. The first challenge was to drop from a stool about 10 inches from the ground. If the egg survived it was sent to the high dive, a table about 3 feet off the ground. And finally if the egg was still intact, it was sent down the slide on the playground. After all the eggs had been dropped, many were still fairly uncracked. The students then got to participate in an egg toss. Each time the egg was tossed the students had to take a step back.
