Seana Catherman '06 Speaks to Class of 2019

On Friday afternoon, May 3, the O’Neal Class of 2019 was joined by Seana Catherman, a member of the O’Neal Class of 2006.  Seana earned her BS in Biotechnology from Rochester Institute of Technology and her MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester.  Seana told the seniors of her love of math and science, and knowing that she wanted to really DO something that used those fields together in application.  Seana fondly referred to Ms. Carr, especially when talking about a project that the class completed in AP Biology when she was a senior.  That was the project that she said made it clear to her that she would be pursuing biology in college and as a career.  The students enjoyed hearing from Seana, and kept her engaged with a few minutes of questions after her talk.

Seana is now a Research Analyst with Duke University Health Systems, working in B Cell immunotherapy studies.  She and her husband, and electrical engineer, are thrilled to be living and working in North Carolina.
