O'Neal defeats Fayetteville Academy in Semi Finals

David Williamson
O’Neal avenged their regular season loss to Fayetteville Academy with a resounding 3-0 victory. Julien Mazzarulli started the scoring early, finishing a terrific 60 yard run by beating the goalkeeper. Shortly after, high pressure from the Falcons led to Davis Lincicome stealing the ball in the 18 yard box and finishing it in the corner. Penn Morris scored the third goal directly from a corner kick, putting it over the goalie’s head and into the side netting. O’Neal’s defense played impressively well, anchored by Max Pashley, Alex Martin, Penn Morris, Harry Franklin, and Kenan Van Skoyoc. Parker Anderson, Henry Neville, and Jack Habets applied constant pressure up front, and David White and Jacob Graham helped to win the middle of the field.
