It was an exciting week for the Falcons. We finished up the regular season and then got a win and then took a loss in the semi-finals of the TriTac Conference Tournament.

The Falcons finished the regular season on the road at Trinity School of Durham in an important game with seeding implications for the TriTac conference tournament.  The Falcons came out with a great defensive start holding the Lions to only 7 1st quarter points. However, the Falcons just couldn't get the ball to go in the bucket all night. O'Neal trailed by 7 at halftime, but came out and made a run gaining the lead by one point a couple occasions in the third quarter. Trinity was able to regain the lead heading into the forth quarter and the Falcons were never able to regain the lead eventually falling 59-48.  The loss created a three way tie for third place in the TriTac Conference.

The Falcons were able to win the coin flips and hosted first round of the TriTac tournament vs. the sixth seed Carolina Friends on Monday night. The Falcons were able to come out and put their foot down and jumped out to a huge 27-10 first quarter lead. The Falcons continued to pour it on the rest of the evening getting up by as many as 41 points. The Falcons moved the ball well and played really well defensively. The Falcons won the game 60-42. The win got them to 10 wins on the season and a 2nd round game vs. Salem Baptist.

Tuesday, the Falcons ran into a Salem Baptist Christian Academy team that was very focused and shot the ball unbelievably well. Salem jumped out to a big lead and the Falcons were just not able to answer the onslaught put on by the Vikings. The Falcons fell 82-44.

Next for the Falcons is the NCISAA State tournament on Tuesday. The State seeding meetings and pairings will be announced late Sunday night. The Falcons could possibly host the game or head on the road on Tuesday evening.
