The Annual Benefit is O'Neal Tradition

The O’Neal Annual Benefit is scheduled for March 6th at Pinehurst Country Club starting at 6pm. First starting out as a “Monte Carlo” and later moving to an “Auction”, today we call it the Annual Benefit. It is the largest annual fundraising event for The O’Neal School. For the first few years of the School’s opening, the Benefit was ever more important as it was relied upon to cover payroll and other expenses for the remainder of the school year. Today the funds raised from the Benefit are a part of the annual operating budget for the School.

For almost a half century, this event has been one of the spotlight affairs for the Southern Pines/ Pinehurst area. From trips to Europe and concert tickets to puppies and local pottery – many creative activities and items have been on the auction block. Local businesses continue to support the School by donating items and packages for its silent auction segments. Drawings for $10,000, big jewelry, Cadillacs… and now a Maserati, have always been well received.

Wallace O’Neal Day School with its four mobile units over the years has now transformed into a beautiful campus. The facilities within these five instructional buildings as well as its sporting venues matches none other within a 50-mile radius. Such housing as well as the quality of instruction that happens within these walls comes with a cost that goes well over tuition revenue.

We invite our O’Neal parents, alumni and friends to enjoy a great evening at a historical event that benefits quality education and enrichment for students of The O’Neal School.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the Early Bird Special. After February 14th, the ticket price will go up $25 per ticket.
