The Falcons were back at home after a long Christmas break. The Falcons hosted the Titans of Thales Academy on Thursday for a hard-fought battle. The Falcons came out with a slow start after the long break. The Titans came out with a strong first quarter, knocking down tough shots and playing great defense. This effort caused a pause in the Falcon scoring. Regrouping after the quarter, the Falcons developed some fight in the second quarter and attempted a comeback. Moving to the second half, the Titans kept their foot on the gas, which ultimately led to a Falcons defeat. Leading the Falcons was Jackson Mullis (12 Points), adding to the bunch were Sam Taylor (8 Points), Grant Sowell (3 Points), Jackson Graves (2 Points), Ford Kuester (2 Points), and Christian Baker (2 Points).

O’Neal vs Berean Baptist Academy 42-38 W
The Falcons were on the road against Berean Baptist for their second game starting the new year. The Falcons were faced with a great Berean basketball team. The Bulldogs came out very strong playing great defense and were exceptional on the offensive side of the ball. This did not phase the Falcons, the team came out red hot to start the game! The Falcons played great defense, team basketball, and an overall strong first half. The clash between the two teams had them neck and neck going into halftime with a score of 21-21. The Falcons carried their technical gameplay over to the second half and led by as much as 10 points going into the fourth quarter. The Falcons would go on to win the contest 42-38. Leading the Falcons in scoring was Ford Kuester (14 Points), following were Sam Taylor (7 Points), Jackson Graves (7 Points), Jackson Mullis (6 Points), Christian Baker (4 Points) and Owen West (2 Points). Seems that the Falcons have dusted off the rustiness from Winter Break and are back in their groove for great basketball in 2024.
