Special Guest Performance Featuring George Harliono

Middle and Upper School students were given a beautiful 12-minute performance of Rachmoninof's 2nd Piano Concerto on Wednesday. O'Neal Parent and Carolina Philharmonic Maestro David Michael Wolff demonstrated to the students the elements of a "concerto" and its role with the orchestra. He then introduced pianist George Harliono. George is 16 years old and has been a professional pianist since age 11. George will be performing with the Carolina Philharmonic on Saturday. George answered questions from the students of when he decided he wanted to go professional, the sacrifices, the travel, friendships and more. Click HERE to learn more about George Harliono.
