8th Grade Studies Civil War Technological Breakthroughs

Kirsten Blair’s 8th grade history classes are studying technological breakthroughs during the Civil War. Student groups chose a specific technology to research and present. In this class, railroads, ironclad ships, weaponry and the telegraph were chosen. Work outdoors was a great opportunity for the students to create a poster from their research where later they will present their findings to the rest of the class.
