The O’Neal School community gathered on Thursday, May 22nd to celebrate the promotion of its fourth-grade students, the Class of 2033, in a heartfelt ceremony filled with pride, joy, and reflection. The event honored these young learners' achievements, growth, and spirit as they prepare to transition into Middle School.
The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from school leadership, who praised the students for their resilience, leadership, and academic accomplishments. “You’ve filled our hallways with joy, curiosity, and kindness,” the speaker shared. “You are ready for the next chapter.”
Parents and guardians were thanked for their unwavering support, and teachers were recognized for their dedication and the meaningful connections they’ve built with students. The Lower School faculty was celebrated for creating a nurturing environment where students could thrive.

Max reflected on the sense of family at O’Neal, encouraging students to carry that connection with them as they grow.
Art teacher Ms. Judy McDonald presented the Head of School Gallery Award to Madeleine Beckman, recognizing her creativity, resilience, and passion for artistic expression.
Each student was then individually honored by their teachers, Mrs. Brianna Ramos and Mrs. Lindsey von Dohlen, who shared touching tributes and favorite memories.
The ceremony concluded with a musical performance by the students, now officially rising fifth graders, led by music teacher Mrs. Amber Bertagnole.
Following the performance, students received their certificates and processed out to a standing ovation. Families were invited to a reception in Konni’s Courtyard to continue the celebration.
With hearts full of memories and eyes set on the future, the Class of 2033 leaves the Lower School ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
Congratulations, Falcons! We can’t wait to see what you do next.
