Book to Film Adaptation - July 20-24

Rising 6th-8th Grade 12:00-3:15

Students will first read an age-appropriate novel that we will unpack from a literary perspective. Following our read of the novel, we will watch a film adaptation of that novel, considering the similarities and differences between the source material and adaptation. Students will learn how to "read" and analyze a film, empowering them with important analytical and critical thinking skills to navigate visual texts.
