Junior Beta Club Welcomes New Members

This week, 11 eighth-grade students were inducted into the National Junior Beta Club during a special ceremony celebrating scholarship, leadership, character, achievement, and service.

The ceremony was led by teacher Kirsten Blair and Upper School students Lainey Murphy and Abigail Schupp, both former Junior Beta members who returned to share the significance of the organization and its core principles.
Throughout the ceremony, inductees were encouraged to use their skills and talents to serve others and lead with integrity. Students reflected on the values that guide Beta members, including service, humility, justice, industriousness, responsibility, cooperation, and honesty. Speakers emphasized that service is not only a pillar of Beta, but also an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Students were challenged to be generous, courteous, kind, and fair, while remaining humble and committed to helping those around them.

As part of the induction, students pledged to uphold the values of the National Beta Club by maintaining academic excellence, conducting themselves ethically, serving others, and contributing to the success of their peers.

The National Beta Club is the largest independent educational youth organization in the United States, promoting academic achievement, character, leadership, and community service among students.

Congratulations to O'Neal's newest National Junior Beta Club members as they begin their journey of service and leadership.
