Psycho-educational testing is a way to evaluate your child’s ability to process and understand information, and typically leads to diagnostic information about his/her ability to learn. The end goals are to develop strategies for making the learning process easier and more effective. Each psychologist will recommend what he or she feels are the necessary tests to best evaluate your child. For the O’Neal School’s purposes, we recommend the following tests be performed during the pyscho-educational evaluation. These are minimal requirements and most psychologists will perform additional tests to get a more comprehensive evaluation of your child.

Recommended Tests:
  • Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children or Adults (depending on child’s age)
  • Conners-3 (Behavioral/ADD/ADHD testing)
