Outstanding College Destinations for the Class of 2020

O’Neal just recently held a diploma ceremony for its Class of 2020. Scheduled by appointment, each graduate got to go on stage and formally, with distance in mind, receive their diploma. Their closest family members were invited to witness the occasion. The School hopes to carry out the Class of 2020’s wishes for a live commencement in July.

O’Neal’s class of 2020 consists of 30 students, each of whom have much to celebrate as they have successfully navigated the college admissions process. At O’Neal, academic preparation, student-teacher relationships and the college placement program guide families through the seemingly complex admissions system. Course selection, essay writing, testing, financial aid, etc. are all part of the support offered by O’Neal’s upper school. Teachers, coaches and administrators are invested in each student’s success. The School’s objective is to help students have college choices that fit their interests and goals. “The ability to be successful in college is the ultimate value of an O’Neal education,” says Head of School John Elmore; “and the skills to write, collaborate, analyze and think critically, are the strengths that O’Neal students have as they enter college.”

Amid the extraordinary situation presented to the Class of 2020, all have persevered and the School is exceptionally proud of their accomplishments.
